EDITH GONZALES
Edith Gonzalez, era Trabajadora Social Médica y Facilitadora de Planificación Anticipada de Atención Médica con el equipo Paliativo de Sansum/Ridley Tree Cancer Center. Edith también provee apoyo a los pacientes que reciben servicios de hospicio médico con VNA Health. Edith posee una licenciatura en Psicología y una maestría en Trabajo Social. Edith se siente afortunada de haber trabajado, por más de 16 años, en posiciones y proyectos importantes e influyentes en la ciudad de Santa Bárbara. Esto le ha permitido expandir los contactos y recursos que ella y la comunidad brindan a sus pacientes. Edith valora la educación y aprovecha cualquier oportunidad para enriquecer su práctica. Edith se interesó en unirse al grupo de MVMV cuando se enteró de las cosas maravillosas que el grupo estaba haciendo para la comunidad Latinx. A Edith le gusta estar con su familia y sus perritos, viajar y atender su jardín en el cual colecciona macetas de Talavera y artesanías Mexicanas.
Edith Gonzalez, was a Medical Social Worker and Advance Care Planning Facilitator for the Palliative Care Team at Sansum/Ridley Tree Cancer Center. Edith also provides support to Hospice patients for VNA Health. Edith holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Edith has over 16 years of experience working in her wonderful community of Santa Barbara. She has had the privilege to have held several important roles, giving her the opportunity to grow her network to better link her patients to resources within the community. She loves learning and is constantly looking for ways to enrich her practice. Edith learned about MVMV through her network, she became interested in joining the team as soon as she heard about the wonderful things they were doing for the Latinx community. Edith enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, traveling, and working on her garden with her colorful Mexican pottery
